I membri dei Talking Heads Chris Frantz e David Byrne si sono conosciuti quando erano studenti alla Rhode Island School of Design e hanno iniziato a fare musica in una band universitaria chiamata The Artistics. Nel semestre primaverile del 1974, la band si è riunita nell'appartamento di Frantz in Benefit Street per registrare un demo. La cassetta conteneva brani che sarebbero presto diventati dei classici nella discografia dei Talking Heads: “Warning Sign” e “Psycho Killer”. 
La collezione di 3 CD include questo materiale appena scoperto insieme ad altri brani demo e live registrati dalla formazione originale del trio (la bassista Tina Weymouth insieme a Frantz e Byrne) nel 1975 e nel 1976, insieme alla prima pubblicazione ufficiale della sessione demo della band per la CBS/Columbia Records nel 1975 e rare registrazioni live della formazione originale del trio nel 1976 e nel 1977.
